What Is Media To Me?

     

      

Hello, my name is Madison, and I am here to discuss what is media to me. The way I depict the meaning of "Media" in the class Mediastudies is the creation of a film, character, setting, or costume based on a genre of media. The way media aids in the breaking down of a film is the multitude of categories that media is broken down into. For example, when depicting the mood lighting may convey in a scene, this can fall under the category of mis-en-scene. There are categories such as sound, mis-en-scene, camera shots, and camera angles. These categories are used to build the film and create the visual mood for said film.  However, aside from the breaking down and comprehension of media, I enjoy many forms of media. From media platforms such as Tik Tok to Youtube and Tubi to Netflix, there are many platforms I enjoy for their variety of entertainment purposes. My favorite type of media is movies because of their broadness in genres and how much effort goes into such films to entertain an audience for longer periods of time. However, I am never apposed to the idea of indulging in a short film because of how quick yet entertaining they are. The way I view media is a very complex form of creativity and entertainment.
